UMBRiO Refresh.
A clearer view forward

A new visual identity, and more importantly: our services repositioned.

25 August 2026 · 5 minute read

We have refreshed ourselves. Not because the old version had stopped working, but because it no longer helped explain what we do. People who knew us often knew us for one thing: "that party who runs Splunk". While in practice a great deal sits around that.

What changes in the look.

The logo stays exactly as it was. What surrounds it has been refreshed: more magenta, less grey, and a graphic motif of a grid, a data path and one highlighted point instead of stock photography. That last part is a matter of principle. We sell visibility into what is actually happening; a photo of somebody touching a floating interface is the opposite of credible.

What changes in the story.

This is the part that genuinely matters. We have reorganised our services along three tracks, with the maturity model as the backbone.

Managed Services are the ongoing services, one per layer of the model: from remote support as a backstop to full platform management, data quality and continuous development.

Intelligence Services is layer 6 unfolded, and that was badly needed. "Managed Intelligence Services" describes the service; customers buy on the names underneath it. Audit trail and compliance, security intelligence and SIEM, observability, service and KPI reporting, and insight into what your data actually costs. Those are five different conversations, with different buyers.

Professional Services had in practice become a catch-all category, and that is a waste. It holds architects, engineers and data analysts, projects such as migrations and implementations, and analytical work like custom dashboards and use cases. Available as a standalone engagement too, without a managed service following on behind it.

And the health check.

Remains the most sensible first step. Five days, fixed price, and one report: what is there, what the risk is, what it costs and in which order to tackle it. With no obligation to continue; in a fair number of cases our advice is that you can handle it perfectly well yourself.

Sell the next layer, not the whole model.

That has become our internal guideline. Almost nobody buys seven layers at once. People buy the next step, and that step is nearly always small and concrete.

What you will notice.

Our documents look different, and they use different words. Every service now has a one-page sheet that answers the question instead of describing the technology. What we do not do is on there as well, and that is what makes the rest credible.

And if you come across something that is wrong or does not hold up in practice, let us know. Everything we make comes out of text files, so a change takes minutes rather than weeks.

What this means for you.

We are happy to walk through the layers and look at where you stand and what the sensible next step is.
